2012-03-17 Alum Creek

Carie has been unable to join me the first few time out this season due to her schedule with school and working at H & R Block but she made this trip to Alum Creek up near Columbus. We combined this trip with my 2nd cousin's basketball championship game on Saturday night, the Fairmont (high school) Firebirds. It was a lot of fun! We also met new T@Bber Anne Walker who lives only a few minutes from Alum Creek. We had some birds visit our camp feeder this trip, too!

Early Season At Whitewater State Park

Pat & Jennifer Bremer met us...well, me at Whitewater State Park in Brookville, IN for camping on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Carie couldn't make it due to her schedule. Not too many campers this weekend as we figured there wouldn't be but there were a couple of die-hard TENT campers (!) and one BT Cruiser class C RV and also a lot of horse campers. This park is big on horse camping and they were sure out and about this weekend. Silly me, though, I didn't get any pictures of the horses and riders and didn't even think about it.  :-|

2011-08-06 Indian Lake SP & Airstream Factory Tour

Carie & I and Tom & Ella camped out at Indian Lake state park and on Monday we all went over to the Airstream factory in Jackson Center, OH and did the Airstream factory tour. Rumor has it Tom & Ella want an Airstream! Update: On posting this T & E may actually HAVE an Airstream!

R-pod Rally At The Kentucky Horse Park - 2011-06-25

We were lucky enough to be invited to the annual R-pod rally this year at the Kentucky Horse Park. A lot of fun and great people...much like the T@B people.  :-)

Huntsville

I had a business trip to Huntsville Alabama through the week of June 11 - 17. I told my boss I'd save them a small forune by driving down with my T@B in tow and stay in a campground for $20 a night instead of $180/night at the Westin where the conference was being held. I started out the first night at Monte Sano state park but was quickly re-routed to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center campground by the camp host at Monte Sano. That worked out great as the Space & Rocket Center was right around the corner from the Westin! I went to the Space & Rocket Museum on Tuesday and made the two hour drive to Red Bay, AL to tour the Tiffin Motorhome Factory on Monday. Tiffin is our dream RV for retirement...or before retirment if we can swing it  :-)  I didn't get a lot of photos of my T@B that week...like none at all, but got some of the museum and the factory.
